About the Business
Ian McCall qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1972, after a varied surveying career in, mainly, Private Practice, but also at a Public Utility, and in Commercial Management. After working in London, I started in Hungerford in 1981 as a Private Practice surveyor, undertaking Structural Surveys (now called Building Surveys) for Private Clients and mortgage-valuations for Lending Institutions.
Between 1989 and 1992, I joined two other Chartered Surveyors in a surveying partnership in Newbury, to combine my survey work for Private Clients with their high volume of mortgage-valuations. I left that partnership in October 1992, when the slow-down in the housing market severely curtailed the volume of survey work, and returned to being a Sole Practitioner in Hungerford, from which I have continued to work, mainly for Private Clients, providing various surveying services.
