About the Business
Formed by Garry Mettam and Tim Ware in 1997, Mettam Ware is a small firm of Chartered Surveyors specializing in the acquisition, management and letting/sale of commercial property in Mid and East Devon, and along the M5 corridor between Taunton and Exeter.
Born in Tiverton and educated at Blundell's School and Oxford Polytechnic, now Oxford Brookes and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Garry joined JP Sturge (later King Sturge, now Jones Lang LaSalle) in 1989 in the Bath office and after qualifying moved to the Exeter office to head Industrial Agency. Leaving King Sturge in 1994 to establish RW Estates Ltd, a property company, Garry also maintained some general practice surveying work for private clients including commercial agency and management, valuation and rent reviews.
Tim was born and educated in Tiverton. Before the formation of Mettam Ware and apart from a short spell at the Valuation Office, Tim spent his working life in provincial property firms.
